Founders
Gestala is China's first ultrasound brain-computer interface company, using focused phased-array ultrasound to non-invasively stimulate and read neural activity across the whole brain without surgery. Founded by serial BCI entrepreneur Phoenix Peng and Shanda Interactive co-founder Tianqiao Chen, the company targets high-prevalence conditions including chronic pain, depression, PTSD, stroke rehabilitation, and Alzheimer's disease. Gestala is also building an 'Ultrasound Brain Bank' to train AI models on decoded brain signals, and is working with major Chinese hospitals to accelerate clinical trials at a fraction of Western costs.
