Kapta Space is a Seattle-based aerospace and defense startup developing next-generation spaceborne radar systems using its proprietary Metamaterial Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) architecture. The company delivers low-cost, electronically steerable radar payloads enabling persistent geospatial imagery via Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Interferometric SAR (InSAR) for millimeter-scale change detection, and Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) for defense missions tracking mobile threats across air, sea, and land. Kapta serves both commercial sectors such as mining, energy, and transportation, as well as national defense customers, and has secured multiple classified MTI contracts while advancing toward its first orbital demonstration.
