Ahmad Saroya is Co-Founder and CTO at Moving Atoms, a Y Combinator S26 startup building world models and simulation tools for robotics and physical AI. He owns the simulator, the harness and the evidence format.
Ahmad read Mathematics at Oxford, ranked first in his college, before leaving in his second year to build Moving Atoms full time. He built neural networks for the UK Government, including a threat-classification model at GCHQ.
Ahmad is a British Mathematical Olympiad gold medalist and an alumnus of King's College London Mathematics School. He also built an AI for six-player poker and shipped VR games to the Meta Quest store.
Moving Atoms was founded with his brother Shehryar Saroya, a former TikTok machine learning engineer, and is backed by Y Combinator and NVIDIA Inception. The company is registered in San Francisco with engineering in the UK.
Its Atom 1 model is pretrained on internet video and tuned for physics, letting robot labs train on GPUs instead of slow, costly human-collected data. The team now also converts LiDAR and SLAM scans into editable Revit and IFC models and SimReady worlds.
