Alain Raes is the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at iPiD (International Payments Identity), a Singapore-based fintech redefining global cross-border payment verification through its Know Your Payee platform.

Alain studied at the Catholic University of Louvain and built a 30-year career in global financial services, including nearly three decades at SWIFT where he rose to Chief Business Development Officer and served on the executive committee, overseeing EMEA and Asia Pacific.

A Belgian national based in Singapore, Alain is widely recognized as an authority in global payments and financial market infrastructure, having contributed to the inception of instant payments and overlay systems worldwide.

Prior to co-founding iPiD in 2021, Alain served as COO and CCO at DT One, and during his tenure at SWIFT he grew Asia Pacific business by over 130% and championed key market infrastructure initiatives including SEPA and real-time payment systems.

iPiD now connects to over 6,500 financial institutions covering 4 billion accounts across 50-plus countries, was named among FXC Intelligence's 30 Most Promising Cross-Border Payments Companies, and recently closed a $16M Series A led by Foundation Capital with strategic backing from Citi and HSBC.
