Anthea Guo is Co-Founder and CTO of Lumeria (YC S26), the startup building the Oura Ring for skin. Its Lumoscope is a phone-clip multispectral camera paired with an AI skin coach called Lumi.
Anthea studied at UC Berkeley and worked on computational biology at Google, Boehringer Ingelheim and Berkeley Lab. She co-founded Computational Biology at Berkeley and led a 6-person team interpreting Google's DeepVariant model.
Anthea built Lumeria from personal experience, having been misdiagnosed four times in five months and becoming allergic to her own sweat. She also leads technical development, including the phone-based imaging and AI models behind the product.
Lumeria was founded in 2026 with co-founder Maryanne Alhallak and was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch. WRLD VIZN has since announced an investment in its seed round.
Lumeria's first Lumoscope batch sold out in under 24 hours after launch, and the founders report more than 150 patient and dermatologist interviews and two clinical partnerships. The product is patent pending, and the team has scanned 500+ people at live events.
