Apoorv Shankar is the Founder and CEO of Aina, a consumer hardware company building the next generation of context-aware interfaces for the AI era, redefining how humans interact with computers and smartphones.
Apoorv earned a B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from JSS Academy, an M.Des in Product Design from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and studied Marketing Management at IIM Bangalore before founding his first hardware startup, LazyCo.

At Ultrahuman, Apoorv led hardware development for one of India's most prominent consumer wearable companies before departing to found Aina in May 2025, initially operating in stealth as Project Mirage, a Human-Computer Interaction lab.
Aina raised $5.5M in seed funding co-led by Redstart Labs and 360 ONE Asset, shipped hundreds of its first product Dune to early adopters, and operates a 35-member team across Bengaluru and San Francisco.
