Ayan studied Computer Science at IIT Kharagpur, began his career as a Senior Engineer at Publicis Sapient, and went on to co-found Siftery, a B2B data platform tracking technology stacks for 15 million companies that was acquired by G2, where he then served as VP of Engineering.

A third-time founder with 20+ years in enterprise software, Ayan also served as a Scout for Sequoia Capital and has invested in over 25 emerging ventures, reflecting his deep commitment to the startup ecosystem.

Ampersand, co-founded with Lauren Long in 2022, has raised $20M in total funding, including a $15M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with backing from Matrix, Flex Capital, Yelp, and prominent angels including the co-founders of Dropbox, Airtable, and Firebase.
