Damien Dugauquier is Co-Founder and CEO of IPID (International Payments Identity), a Singapore-based fintech company pioneering payment decision intelligence for banks, PSPs, and corporates moving money globally. He is a payments industry veteran with deep expertise in cross-border transactions, compliance, and payment innovation.
Before co-founding IPID in 2021, Damien served as Head of Data and Analytics (APAC) at SWIFT, where he led teams across Asia and Europe helping financial institutions modernize payment infrastructure. He also held roles at Societe Generale Private Banking, Vlerick Business School, the Belgian Cabinet of the Minister of Finance, and the European Parliament.
Damien identified a critical global blind spot: institutions were moving money faster than ever, but making payment decisions with incomplete information. His vision was to build a decision intelligence layer that gives institutions a live signal of trust and certainty before funds move, not just a static check.
Under Damien's leadership, IPID closed a $16M Series A in September 2026, led by Foundation Capital with strategic participation from Citi and HSBC, following earlier seed and pre-Series A rounds backed by QED Investors, Monk's Hill Ventures, and Quona Capital. The company also announced a strategic partnership with Deutsche Bank to deploy payment decision intelligence across its global payments business.
IPID now supports major financial institutions across more than 50 countries, with operations spanning London, New York, Dubai, Amsterdam, Brussels, Kuala Lumpur, and Mumbai. The platform has grown from bank account verification into a full decision intelligence suite covering fraud, compliance, and payment optimization.
