Dr. Kavi Samra is Co-Founder and COO of Medly AI, a London-based EdTech startup on a mission to democratize access to personalized education through AI, neuroscience, and proven teaching theory.

Dr. Samra earned his MBBS from UCL in 2021 and served as an Honorary Teaching Fellow at UCL Medical School and as an NHS Anaesthetist at leading hospitals including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust before leaving medicine to co-found Medly AI.

Growing up in a low-income household where private tutoring was unaffordable, Dr. Samra channeled his personal experience of educational inequality into building a platform that gives every student access to a world-class AI tutor, regardless of socioeconomic background.

Under Dr. Samra's leadership as COO, Medly AI secured over $10M in total seed funding from Felix Capital, Eka Ventures, and Ada Ventures, and received grants from UCL, Innovate UK, Microsoft, and Google totalling 400,000 GBP.

Medly AI has grown to over 400,000 UK users, with nearly one million daily student-tutor messages exchanged, and Dr. Samra and his co-founder were invited to 10 Downing Street to advise on AI in education.
