Francesco Simoneschi is Co-Founder and CEO of TrueLayer, Europe's leading open banking payments network that processes over $40 billion annually across 120 million transactions.

Francesco studied Computer Engineering at La Sapienza University Rome and Information Management and Economics at the London School of Economics. He founded analytics platform Staq.io in 2012, which was acquired by Playhaven, and launched angel fund Mission and Market in San Francisco in 2014, investing in over 50 startups.

Francesco has secured partnerships with major European banks and global entities including Visa, Stripe, Tencent, and Temasek. He has served as VP of Strategy at FOVE, which built the world's first eye-tracking virtual reality headset, and as Product Owner and Tech Lead at mobile marketing platform Upsight.

Under Francesco's leadership, TrueLayer became a unicorn in 2021 and has raised $322M in total funding. The company has partnered with leading brands including eBay, Coinbase, Revolut, and Robinhood, and has surpassed 15 million active users.

TrueLayer processes payments across 21 European countries and recently announced a strategic partnership with eBay for Pay by Bank services. The company has achieved 400% growth in payment volumes and is transforming how consumers and businesses pay online through open banking technology.
