Idan Basre

Idan Basre is Co-Founder and CEO of Brava Security, an AI-driven SecOps platform that proves whether enterprise defenses would actually detect an attack.
Idan is a Talpiot alumnus who spent ten years in Unit 8200 as a threat researcher. He then led product management for Microsoft Defender, where he saw how limited access to security data constrained incident investigations.
With seventeen years of cybersecurity experience from both the attacker and defender side, Idan built Brava around one question: would your defenses recognize the attack? He is also a contributor to the OWASP Non-Human Identities Top 10 and studied at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Idan co-founded Brava in 2024 with CTO Itay Gabbay and emerged from stealth in November 2026 with a $15M seed round led by F2 Venture Capital and Pitango. Angel investors from Anthropic, Microsoft, and Check Point also participated.
Brava works with Fortune 100 companies in retail, energy, and hospitality, as well as Cushman & Wakefield and WELL Health. The platform processes about 2.4 trillion events daily and reduces SIEM infrastructure costs by 65% to 85%.
