Jamie Cuffe

Jamie Cuffe is Founder and CEO of Pace, the agentic AI platform transforming insurance operations by replacing traditional business process outsourcing with autonomous AI agents. Pace works with leading insurers like Prudential, The Mutual Group, and Newfront to automate mission-critical tasks including submission intake, claims processing, and policy servicing.
Jamie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and previously served as Head of New Products and Self-Serve at Retool, where he launched 7 new products and scaled to millions of apps. He co-founded Cheer, which was acquired by Retool in 2020, and worked as a Data Scientist at Sequoia Capital.
Jamie grew up between London, New York, and Bermuda, with deep family roots in insurance as his father ran operations for a reinsurer and Lloyd's cover holder. He brings a unique combination of AI engineering expertise and industry knowledge to transform a sector he has known his entire life.
Pace raised $10 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital in January 2026, with partner Bryan Schreier leading the deal. The company delivers 50 to 75 percent cost savings compared to traditional BPOs while achieving 99.5 percent accuracy, exceeding the 90 to 95 percent accuracy of human outsourcers.
Pace is targeting the $70 billion insurance BPO market and broader $400 billion financial services operations market with AI agents that handle tens of thousands of tasks monthly. The company has achieved 100 percent pilot success through forward-deployed engineering and is processing thousands of hours of work for major insurers in production today.
