Jang-Ho Cha

Dr. Jang-Ho Cha is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Latus Bio, a pioneering CNS gene therapy company developing novel AAV capsid variants to treat devastating neurological disorders including Huntington's and Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Cha earned his A.B. in Neurobiology from Harvard University and his MD and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, before building a distinguished career spanning academic medicine and biopharma.
Dr. Cha was part of the team that helped discover the HTT gene for Huntington's disease, and he is a 2023 recipient of the Hereditary Disease Foundation's Transformative Research Award alongside Latus co-founder Beverly Davidson.
Prior to Latus Bio, Dr. Cha served as Global Translational Medicine Head for Neuroscience at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research for eight years, and held leadership roles at Merck and as Associate Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Latus Bio has raised over $97 million in Series A financing and advanced two lead gene therapy candidates, LTS-201 for Huntington's disease and LTS-101 for CLN2 disease, toward clinical development.
