Jason Rivers is Co-Founder and CTO of RedPine Music, a Toronto-based two-sided marketplace that connected musicians with concert venues across Canada for booking, ticketing, and event management.

Jason studied at the University of Ottawa and later completed the LaunchYU Accelerator Program at York University, sharpening his entrepreneurial instincts before going full-time on RedPine in 2018.

A systems-minded engineer at heart, Jason gravitates toward problems where the obvious answer is more complexity and instead asks how the system itself can be redesigned to make hard things feel simple.

At RedPine, Jason architected a ReactJS front-end suite, administered a Python/Django RESTful API server on AWS, and built a React Native point-of-sale ticketing app, integrating services with partners including Stripe, Square, Spotify, and Facebook.

RedPine grew to list over 400 venues across Canada and won a $5,000 Innovation York venture award; Jason has since gone on to build healthcare software at scale at Qualifacts and serve as Tech Lead and Founding Engineer at Bluejay.
