Jeff An is Co-Founder and CTO at Momentic, an AI-native testing platform that writes, runs, and repairs end-to-end tests for web and mobile apps.

Jeff studied at the University of Waterloo and built cloud and test infrastructure at Splunk, Google, and Robinhood, where he was the youngest tech lead and led developer experience during 300% company growth. He also worked at Retool and was GPTZero's first backend engineer.

Jeff had the idea for Momentic while working part-time at GPTZero, which became the company's first customer. He is a Forbes Technology Council member and speaks on how to trust code you did not write.

Momentic went through Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch and raised a $3.7M seed round in March 2025, followed by a $15M Series A led by Standard Capital in November 2025. Total funding is reported at about $19.2M.

Momentic serves teams at Notion, Xero, Bilt, Webflow, and Retool, and its customers have executed more than 2 billion test steps. The platform automated over 200 million steps in a single month, equal to nearly 300,000 hours of manual testing.
