Jemima Meyer

Jemima Meyer, RD(SA), is Co-Founder and Head of Research at Healthleap, a clinical AI platform that screens every adult inpatient daily to detect undiagnosed conditions such as malnutrition, delirium, and congestive heart failure across more than 50 leading US hospitals.
Jemima holds a BSc Hons in Dietetics from the University of the Free State and a Master of Public Health Nutrition from Stellenbosch University, and worked as a Community Service Dietitian with the South African National Defence Force before co-founding Healthleap.
Driven by watching patients fall through the cracks as a frontline clinician, Jemima hacked together the first version of NutriLeap as a spreadsheet tool for her colleagues at a South African hospital, which became the seed of Healthleap.
Prior to Healthleap, Jemima co-founded NutriLeap (March 2021 to August 2022), a smart clinical nutrition calculation and decision support app built for dietitians, which was later folded into the broader Healthleap platform.
Healthleap, peer-reviewed and developed in partnership with Cedars-Sinai, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford, has raised $38M from Sequoia Capital, First Round Capital, and Hummingbird Ventures, and its platform has delivered 5x or greater hard ROI for every hospital customer.
