John Phan is Co-Founder and CEO of Drylab AI, a Singapore-based agentic AI platform transforming how life sciences and biopharma research is conducted through autonomous AI scientists.

John studied at Nanyang Technological University Singapore and previously carried out AI research with ByteDance's Seed team, building deep expertise in large language models and applied AI.

John co-founded Drylab alongside CTO Huy Phan, a former visiting research engineer at Andrew Ng's Landing AI, and CSO Nhi Nguyen, a PhD candidate in biomedical science, combining AI and biology expertise at the founding level.

Under John's leadership, Drylab raised a $3M seed round led by Vertex Ventures with participation from PatSnap, and commercially launched in February 2026 to paying customers across pharma companies, cancer centres and universities in the US, Europe and Asia.

Drylab's platform gives researchers access to over 800 integrated scientific tools and databases, enabling autonomous reasoning, bioinformatics analysis, and self-improving intelligence that grows smarter with every experiment.
