Jonas Muff is Co-Founder and CEO of Vara, a pioneering AI-powered breast cancer screening platform headquartered in Berlin, Germany, on a mission to make early detection accessible to every woman worldwide.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Jonas earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and served as President of START Summit, growing it into Europe's leading student entrepreneurship conference with over 2,000 participants.

Jonas joined Merantix, Europe's leading AI venture studio, as Head of Business Development in 2017, where he spearheaded the build-up of its first ventures before co-founding Vara in 2018.

Vara has raised over $20M in total funding including a $8.9M Series B round co-led by Smart Family Office, FJH, and IBB Ventures, and has earned a CE mark as the only AI authorized for independent second reads in mammography.

Vara's AI platform now manages nearly 40% of all breast cancer screenings in Germany, assessing over 100,000 images per month and detecting 50% of cancers that radiologists would otherwise miss, with expansion underway in India and other emerging markets.
