Jonathan Shaffer

Jonathan Shaffer is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fission Labs, a blockchain-enabled fintech company building the liquidity infrastructure layer for tokenized investment funds on Ethereum.
Jonathan earned a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Yale University, before beginning his career as an Industrials research analyst at Credit Suisse, where he later served as lead analyst for the 3D printing sector.
Prior to Fission, Jonathan worked at Point72 as a long/short equities investor and later transitioned internally to Strategic Private Investments, leading due diligence on fintech, late-stage ventures, and crypto deals. He also founded Alpha Audiotronics, a consumer electronics venture, and holds multiple patents in wireless audio technology.
Fission Labs raised a $1.6M pre-seed round led by SALT Fund and Kraynos Capital in 2024, followed by a $10M Series A led by Pantera Capital in 2026, with participation from Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital, and gumi Cryptos Capital.
Fission's platform enables eligible investors to sell tokenized fund shares in as little as 90 seconds, compressing a process that traditionally takes up to 200 days, and has already processed millions of dollars in redemption transactions.
