Joshua Warwick is the Founder and CEO of Wassist, a London-based no-code platform enabling brands to deploy AI-powered commerce agents directly inside WhatsApp, keeping customer relationships owned by the business.

Josh earned an MCompSci in Computer Science from the University of Oxford and went on to serve as Technical Lead at engineering consultancy Theodo, building products for organisations including Admiral and Cleo.

Josh co-founded and served as CTO of proptech startup Ark, and has been deeply immersed in WhatsApp's infrastructure since 2023, giving him rare technical insight into the platform's complexity.

Josh built the core of Wassist largely solo across weekend hackathons over ten months, growing the platform from 2,000 to over 80,000 customer conversations without any paid marketing.

Wassist raised a $1.1M pre-seed round led by Playfair, with backing from Meta board member Charlie Songhurst, Indeed founder Paul Forster, and Cleo founder Barney Hussey-Yeo, and has been selected for Balderton's Launched Programme.
