Julius Brussee

Julius Brussee is the Founder of Caveman, a YC-backed (F26) open-source AI token compression platform headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, built to help developers and enterprises dramatically cut AI agent costs.
Julius is a 19-year-old Data Science and Artificial Intelligence student at Leiden University in the Netherlands, with prior experience founding Locked In (an NFC-integrated iOS productivity app) and serving as a founding engineer at Stacklink, an enterprise RAG platform.
Julius built Caveman after his AI bill grew to five times his grocery bill as a student, turning a personal frustration into the #1 open-source repo of all time for token economics.
Caveman is backed by Y Combinator (F26) and has expanded from a viral Claude Code skill into a full-stack platform including Caveman Proxy, Caveman Cloud, and a middleware layer with 21 adapters across TypeScript and Python.
Caveman has surpassed 111,000 GitHub stars (ranking 1 in 4.5 million repos), delivers an average 65% reduction in output token costs, and has attracted users from companies including Nvidia and GitHub.
