Junchen (William) Wu

Junchen (William) Wu, PhD, CFA is the Co-Founder and CEO of Menos AI, an AI-native platform purpose-built for institutional investors including hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices.
William earned a PhD from Northwestern University and a BBA from the Central University of Finance and Economics, and previously served as Head of Quant at Northern Trust, collaborating with firms like Bridgewater and Citadel on front- and middle-office functions.
Earlier in his career, William managed a $3 billion multi-strategy portfolio as a Risk Portfolio Manager at a Boston-based quantitative hedge fund, giving him firsthand insight into the fragmentation and inefficiency plaguing institutional investment workflows.
The idea for Menos AI emerged directly from William's experience observing siloed data, disconnected systems, and the absence of a unified intelligence layer across asset management operations.
Menos AI has raised over $10 million in total funding, including a $5.2 million oversubscribed seed round and a $5.1 million Pre-A round led by Copper Sky Capital, and won the Dragon's Den competition at the Fixed Income Leaders Summit USA.
