Kaan Durmaz is Co-Founder and CTO at Invertix (YC F26), a Munich-based Energy Superintelligence company building autonomous AI agents that operate critical energy infrastructure including solar, wind, and storage plants.

Originally from Istanbul, Kaan earned his BSc and MSc at the Technical University of Munich, conducted AI for materials discovery research at MIT, and published a first-author paper at TMLR on differential privacy for computer vision.

Kaan brings deep technical expertise spanning computer vision, differential privacy, and AI for chemistry, and previously interned in autonomous driving at BMW Group before turning his focus to energy AI.

Before co-founding Invertix, Kaan and his co-founder conducted over 500 expert interviews with energy operators, engineers, and investors to validate the critical gap in AI-powered energy operations.

Invertix has raised a EUR 1.7M pre-seed round led by Vireo Ventures, joined Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch, and now serves clients managing over 50 GW of energy assets with a sales pipeline exceeding 100 GW.
