Kyle studied Computer Science at Portland State University and built a career as a platform and DevOps engineer, holding roles at Era Software, Thorn, Slalom Consulting, and Zapproved before co-founding Depot in 2022.

A self-described platform engineer who despises slow builds, Kyle champions a product-first philosophy, believing that technology must serve real business needs over engineering perfection.

Kyle co-founded Depot alongside Jacob Gillespie, growing the platform from a nights-and-weekends project to a Felicis-backed company trusted by fast-growing teams like PostHog, Wistia, and Semgrep, and has since raised a $10M Series A.

Depot now saves developers an estimated 13,500 hours of build time per week, has expanded to managed GitHub Actions Runners with 30% faster compute and half the cost of GitHub-hosted runners, and is evolving into a full performance-first CI system built for AI-driven development workflows.
