Lauren Long

Lauren Long is the Co-Founder and CTO of Ampersand, a developer platform that enables SaaS companies to build deep, user-facing integrations with popular systems of record like Salesforce and HubSpot. She is a product-minded engineer with over a decade of experience spanning startups, early-stage teams, and large tech corporations.
Born and raised in China, Lauren moved to Canada at age 10 and earned a Bachelor of Computing from Queen's University, later completing an Entrepreneurship program at the University of Toronto. She also attended the Recurse Center to sharpen her engineering craft.
Lauren has spoken internationally at flagship developer conferences including Google I/O, Firebase Summit, and Google Cloud Next, establishing herself as a respected voice in the developer tools space. Her conviction that integrations are critical path to enterprise success drove her to build Ampersand from the ground up.
Prior to Ampersand, Lauren served as founding Tech Lead of Firebase Extensions at Google, where she led the initiative from inception to launch, and previously worked as a Software Engineer at Shortwave and as the first Product Manager at biometric authentication company Nymi. She also co-founded Boxit, an on-demand storage startup, early in her career.
Ampersand raised a $4.7M seed round led by Matrix, with participation from Flex Capital, Base Case Capital, and 2.12 Angels, and counts AI-native companies like 11x and Orb among its customers. The platform is positioning itself as the integration backbone for the next generation of AI-powered SaaS products.
