Nimit Maru

Nimit Maru is Co-Founder and CEO of Sava, a New York-based company building AI-native trust administration software and the Nevada-chartered Sava Trust Company.
Nimit earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Wharton, and built products at Yahoo! where he won a Hack Day and launched MapMixer. He co-founded Bloomspot, which was acquired by JPMorgan Chase, and later co-founded Fullstack Academy.
A hands-on engineer turned entrepreneur, Nimit began building websites in high school and describes his approach as just trying to make things people want. He is a two-time Y Combinator founder (S12 and F25) and serves as a strategic advisor to Abnormal AI.
Nimit co-founded Sava in 2025 with Rush Sadiwala and raised a $10M seed round led by Gradient Ventures, with Y Combinator, SV Angel, and Orange Collective participating. Fullstack Academy, where he served as CEO, was acquired by Zovio in 2019 for $33M.
Sava targets the more than $6.5 trillion U.S. trust and estate industry, using AI agents with human trust officer oversight to cut costs and speed up administration. It is also developing APIs so fintechs can embed trust capabilities directly into their products.
