Éric Fourrier

Éric Fourrier is Co-Founder and CEO at GitGuardian, an end-to-end Non-Human Identity security platform protecting over 600,000 developers worldwide.
Éric worked as a data scientist in the U.S. financial sector and founded Quantiops, a big data consulting firm, before co-founding GitGuardian in 2017 with Jérémy Thomas. He holds engineering and machine learning degrees from École Centrale and École Normale Supérieure in Paris.
GitGuardian started as a side project analyzing public GitHub commits in real-time, discovering massive secrets sprawl that led to the company's good samaritan approach of alerting developers to leaked credentials. The platform has become the number 1 security app on GitHub Marketplace.
GitGuardian raised $50M Series C in February 2026 led by Insight Partners and Quadrille Capital, bringing total funding to over $106M. The company serves Fortune 500 clients including Snowflake, ING, BASF, and Bouygues Telecom with 80% of customers in the United States.
GitGuardian protects 115,000+ developers across enterprise customers globally and monitors all public GitHub activity in real-time, sending alerts to prevent potential breaches worth tens of millions of dollars. The company has grown to 140+ employees across Paris and the United States.
