Robert Brighton is Co-Founder and CEO of Vangrid, an Amsterdam-based decentralized spatial intelligence network (DePIN) building the data layer for the Physical AI era.

Robert brings a decade of experience spanning deep tech and Web3, with a background that includes work with Microsoft Quantum and spatial computing initiatives across Europe.

Robert led Vangrid's $9M seed raise structured as a SAFT, attracting prominent backers including HashKey Capital, Animoca Brands, and Crypto.com Capital without granting board seats, reflecting strong founder conviction.

Prior to Vangrid, Robert founded Praxis (January 2025 to April 2026) and joined Vangrid as Co-Founder and CEO in May 2026, steering the company from stealth to a live network in under a year.

Under Robert's leadership, Vangrid has achieved close to 100,000 verified spatial captures, over 200,000 grid events, and signed strategic MOUs with partners in defense and robotics, while becoming a member of NVIDIA Inception.
