Sean Hargrow

Sean Hargrow is Co-Founder and COO at Series, an AI-powered social networking platform that facilitates warm introductions through iMessage. Series has raised $5.1 million in pre-seed funding from investors including Venmo co-founder Iqram Magdon-Ismail, Pear VC, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, and GPTZero founder Edward Tian.
Sean studied neuroscience at Yale University and co-hosted The Founder Series podcast with over 500,000 views, interviewing Yale entrepreneurs. He received basketball scholarships to schools including Boston University but chose Yale on a full ride, leaving athletics to pursue entrepreneurship.
Sean previously served as Founder in Residence at Antler and Business Developer at iXperience, helping undergraduates secure full-time roles. He co-founded Series after recognizing that warm connections and network access were key differentiators for successful founders.
Series raised $3.1 million in just 14 days after posting a viral LinkedIn video about the platform launch. The platform has processed over 32,000 messages and expanded beyond college campuses to target Gen Z and professionals.
Sean and his co-founder are among the first Yale undergraduates to raise this amount of venture capital while still in school. They are focused on democratizing access to social networks and inspiring young entrepreneurs, particularly in the Black community.
