Siddharth Sharma is Co-Founder and CEO of Familiar Labs (formerly MetaVoice), a San Francisco-based conversational AI company building full-duplex speech models for production outbound voice agents.

He was an early engineer at Wayve from 2018 to 2021, rising to Senior Research Engineer and Squad Lead in Data Engineering, and later was a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First. He earlier worked as a software engineer at Microsoft and holds a Master's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol.

Drawing on his self-driving experience, Siddharth believes hand-built pipelines lose to models that learn the whole task, and he applies this lesson to voice AI. His technical stack spans C++, PyTorch and deep signal processing.

Familiar Labs is backed by BMW i Ventures, with earlier support from Entrepreneur First, Connect Ventures and Alliance DAO. He co-leads the company with CTO Vatsal Aggarwal, a former Amazon Alexa and AWS Polly speech researcher.

The team's open-source MetaVoice-1B text-to-speech model became a top trending model on HuggingFace. Familiar's duplex model listens while it speaks, handles interruptions and overlapping speech, and is live on revenue calls today.
