Tobias Eichenwald

Tobias Eichenwald is Co-Founder of Roma (YC F26), an AI-powered productivity app that reinvents the to-do list by autonomously completing tasks for users. A self-taught designer and programmer, he operates at the intersection of UX, technology, and human psychology.
Tobias grew up immersed in electronics and automation systems through his father's company, which laid the foundation for his passion for human-centric technology design. He went on to co-found Senic (YC S13), a Berlin-based smart home startup, where he served as CEO for over a decade before it was acquired by Gira.
At Senic, Tobias led visual design, product management, and strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Amazon, Philips Hue, Sonos, and Apple. His work earned three Red Dot Awards and the German Design Award, cementing his reputation as a design-driven entrepreneur.
Tobias has consulted for global brands such as Sonos, Gira, Osram, and Steelcase, and is a fellow of the German Silicon Valley Accelerator and the Heinz Nixdorf Foundation. He has been recognized with the Social Responsibility Award and the Prize Germany, Land of Ideas.
Roma, backed by Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch, brings together a team with two prior YC exits: Senic (acquired by Gira) and Loom (acquired by Dropbox). Senic raised over $6.4M in funding before its acquisition, validating Tobias's track record of building and scaling technology ventures to successful exits.
