Vidu Shanmugarajah is a General Partner at GV (Google Ventures), based in London and focusing on early-stage technology companies across AI, biotech, and enterprise software. He joined GV in 2014 and was promoted to General Partner in recognition of his exceptional track record.

Vidu earned a Bachelor of Laws from the London School of Economics and began his career in corporate law at Linklaters, leading M&A and financing transactions. He also founded ConnexLaw, an online platform providing legal services to startups and small businesses.

Vidu previously worked at Grafton Capital on enterprise software investments and spent time in private equity at HgCapital on technology buyouts. Growing up around a family-run business, he developed early appreciation for entrepreneurship.

His portfolio includes category-leading companies like Synthesia (AI video communication), Lawhive (legal tech AI platform), deepset, Metaview, Buena, and Context.ai. He has made over 10 investments with GV's $8 billion fund.
