Werner Duvaud

Werner Duvaud is Co-Founder and Director of AI at HYPRLABS Inc. (HYPR), an AI robotics company pioneering domain-general autonomy through end-to-end physical AI.
Werner graduated from Ecole Centrale de Nantes and UC Berkeley, building deep expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, and NLP.
Werner created the widely adopted open-source implementation of DeepMind's MuZero algorithm, earning recognition in the global AI research community as a key contributor to reinforcement learning.
Prior to HYPRLABS, Werner served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Skyways, Lead ML Engineer at Hyperlabs, and co-founded baguette.ai, an applied AI venture focused on real-world challenges.
HYPRLABS emerged from stealth in December 2025 with HYPRDRIVE, a no-priors AI architecture that achieved full urban navigation in San Francisco on just 33 watts and $850 of training compute, backed by $15M in funding.
