Wilfred Gomes

Wilfred Gomes is the Co-Founder, CEO, and President of Mueon Corporation, a Portland, Oregon-based semiconductor startup pioneering modular AI data center infrastructure through its flagship Cubelets platform.
Wilfred earned a BTech in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, before joining Cadence Design Systems and then Intel, where he spent nearly three decades as an Intel Fellow in Microprocessor Design and Technologies.
Wilfred is a co-inventor of Intel's Foveros 3D integration platform and holds over 250 patents across high-performance CPU, GPU, logic, memory, and packaging design, making him one of the most decorated semiconductor engineers of his generation.
At Intel, Wilfred drove innovations in advanced packaging, EDA, and AI and data center platforms, contributing to products that shipped billions of units and shaped three decades of Moore's Law, before co-founding Mueon in 2025 alongside Jack Hwang.
Mueon has raised over 80 million dollars in total funding, including a 15.5 million dollar seed round led by Intel Capital in 2025 and a 65 million dollar Series A led by Maverick Silicon in 2026, with Cubelets targeting up to 10x improvements in compute density and energy efficiency for AI infrastructure.
