Will Zeng

Will Zeng is Partner at Quantonation, a leading quantum technology venture capital firm, and founder and President of Unitary Fund, a non-profit advancing quantum software and open source technology. He is a former executive at Rigetti Computing where he led the development and launch of the Forest quantum cloud platform and the Quil quantum instruction language.
Will earned his PhD in quantum algorithms from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and his BSc in Physics from Yale University. He previously led quantum computing research at Goldman Sachs, focusing on quantum advantage in derivative pricing and risk analysis.
Will was named to Forbes 30 under 30 in Science and served as a founding member of the governing board of the US Quantum Economic Development Consortium. He has taught quantum programming at Stanford University and worked with superconducting qubit systems at Yale and ETH Zurich.
At Rigetti, Will served as Head of Quantum Cloud Services and Head of Product, launching Forest 1.0 and developing the Quil instruction set architecture. He helped advance Rigetti from early stage development to deploying quantum processors accessible via the cloud.
Will's work at Rigetti enabled developers worldwide to access quantum computing through the cloud for the first time. His research has been cited over 4,000 times, and his contributions to quantum software architecture have shaped the industry's approach to hybrid quantum-classical computing.
