Yann Fleureau

Yann Fleureau is Co-Founder and CEO of Rivercell, a Paris-based biotech and AI company building cell-response data infrastructure and an AI Virtual Cell model to predict how human cells respond to drugs and genetic changes.
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and UC Berkeley's Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, Yann co-founded and led Cardiologs from 2014, the market leader in AI-based cardiac diagnostics, achieving a nine-figure acquisition by Philips in 2021.
Yann is a serial entrepreneur and recognized thought leader in AI applied to life sciences, with a belief that building a world model of the cell is the defining medical opportunity of the century. He also co-founded Numina, a non-profit advancing AI for frontier reasoning in mathematics and physics.
After the Philips acquisition of Cardiologs, Yann transitioned to angel investing and advising before founding Rivercell in summer 2025, where he secured a $25M seed round led by HV Capital with HCVC, Alven, and Bpifrance Digital Venture.
Cardiologs' technology now supports the diagnosis of over two million patients per year globally, and Rivercell has already assembled a 30-person team with a scientific advisory board including leading researchers from EPFL and Helmholtz Munich.
