Shreyas Bhardwaj

Shreyas Bhardwaj is the Founder and CEO of Saccade, a medtech startup pioneering non-invasive early Alzheimer's detection using a hardware attachment for the Apple Vision Pro that analyzes saccadic eye movements via computer vision and machine learning.
Shreyas is a Mechanical Engineering student at UC Santa Barbara (Class of 2026), where he earned a CNSI Propel Startup Fellowship, an Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) Grant, and conducted research in soft robotics and haptics at the UCSB College of Engineering.
Shreyas won the UCSB New Venture Competition People's Choice Award and the 2nd highest cash prize of $7,500 in April 2025, and led Saccade to win the SB Hacks 2026 Hackathon Medical Track, demonstrating strong early traction for his vision.
At UCSB, Shreyas founded and serves as President of the Assistive Technology Club, rallying 60+ student engineers around Apple-sponsored prototyping of novel Alzheimer's detection mechanisms, while also interning at Santa Barbara Imaging Systems in mechanical engineering.
Saccade is pursuing IRB approvals for pilot studies at UC Santa Barbara, Cottage Health, and Sharp Mary Birch Hospital San Diego, benchmarking its VR-based screening tool against MRI at a fraction of the cost, with the potential to reach the 55 million people living with Alzheimer's globally.
