Surobhi Das is Co-Founder of LAT Aerospace, an aerospace startup building next-generation STOL aircraft for regional air connectivity in India. Founded in January 2025 by Deepinder Goyal and Surobhi Das, LAT Aerospace is building a new generation of Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) aircraft designed to operate from compact air-stops rather than conventional airports.

Das holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in Delhi and pursued MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. She quit her job at Bain consulting four years ago to join Zomato.

Surobhi is the former COO of Zomato and had been one of the key employees involved in the growth of the company, working with Zomato for over 12 years. She held numerous significant roles including chief of staff to founder/CEO, COO, vice president of strategy and operations, global head of content and head of customer experience.

LAT raised 130.6 crore ($15.6 million) in seed funding in April 2025 from Dharana Capital and Goyal himself, at a post-money valuation of 821.1 crore. This acquisition marks LAT Aerospace's first step into the defense sector, having acquired Sharang Shakti, an early-stage defence robotics startup based in Gurgaon.

LAT Aerospace aims to revolutionize regional air travel by making it as accessible as bus travel for Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The aircraft team is leading the development of an autonomous 8 seater hybrid-electric aircraft, while the GTE team is focused on building world-class gas turbine engines.
